Mercedes Benz sold 2,696 cars for the period July-September as compared to 1,703 cars during the same time last year registering a 58 per cent growth. It also recorded highest sales in September 2013 selling 1,011 units as compared to 654 units in September 2012.
The German automaker reports that retail sales figures for the first nine months for this year witnessed a 31 per cent growth too. Around 6,461 units were sold this year from January to September while 4,938 units were sold during the same time in 2012. All major variants comprising the A-class and B-class New Generation Cars, E-Class luxury sedan and the SUV range including M-Class and GL-Class have shown a healthy performance.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India considering this immense growth commented on the accomplishment, “Our Year of Offensive strategy yielded satisfactory result as we continue to improve our strong performance with each quarter.
