Mercedes-Benz India faced stiff competition with BMW this year and BMW did emerge as a winner with the 3-series digging into the sales of the other luxury sedans as well. But Mercedes-Benz did have a good year with the kind of sales growth it saw but with the growing popularity of BMW in the country it will be a challenge for the company to sustain this growth in the coming years.
