Mercedes-Benz has inaugurated its first car dealership in the Saurashtra region at Rajkot in collaboration with Benchmark Cars. This is their fourth dealership in Gujarat and sixth in the country and will cater to customers in Jamnagar, Junagad, Gandhidham, Bhavnagar, Bhuj and Morbi other than Rajkot, which is a key emerging market for luxury cars in Gujarat.
The dealership named ‘Benchmark Cars’ is spread over an area of 21,000-sqft, carrying an investment of over Rs 70 Crore. It was inaugurated by Eberhard Kern, managing director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Sanjay Thakker, chairman and managing director, Benchmark Cars Rajkot.
Speaking about the occasion, Eberhard Kern, said “Rajkot is a city on the move with immense potential to grow and it has an upwardly mobile customer base that is developing the market for luxury cars.” He further added saying “This is the fourth dealership that has been set up by our partner Benchmark Cars in Gujarat and the sixth one in the country, and we see our partnership growing stronger. With top-class infrastructure in place, we are sure that Benchmark Cars Rajkot will be able to tap the potential of this emerging market.”
