The new Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV has been spotted sans camouflage ahead of its official debut later this year. It will replace the GLK SUV and will finally be available in both right and left-hand drive when launched by the end of this year.
On first glance, it appears that the GLC has taken up a lot of the lines of its smaller sibling, the GLA, including the rear profile. However, what is new is the front grille which is a two-slat unit in the form of the Avantgarde grille.
The side profile of the GLK has been carried over up to the D-pillar but the rear is not boxy and now more GLA-Class(ish). Mercedes-Benz has made the rear bumper now curvier and has included twin chrome tailpipes.
The cabin is expected to pick up a lot of its materials from the new C-Class but with the obvious changes for it being an SUV. The current GLK is offered with four petrol and diesel engines and we believe that this will continue with the GLC.
It is expected that the GLC will make its way to India next year and will priced in the range of Rs 45 lakh to Rs 65 lakh.
