Soon after making its global debut at the Auto Shanghai 2015 as a concept, the Mercedes-Benz GLC has been spotted near the company’s headquarter in Stuttgart, Germany. The BMW X4 rivaling model has been caught on camera wearing minimal camouflage over the front and rear bumpers, the headlamps and the taillights.
While the GLC concept featured a V6 power plant delivering 367bhp of power and 520Nm of torque, the engine and drive-train options for the production-spec GLC and the GLC coupe are likely to be borrowed from the new C-Class, and that means the sporty coupe will feature a range of four and six cylinder engine units.
Although Mercedes labelled the Shanghai show car as a concept, it is very much near production specifications. When launched, both the GLC Coupe and the regular GLC will be positioned in the small premium crossover segment to rival the new BMW X4.
