The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has been leaked ahead of its official debut on April 20. It is very similar concept to the slightly larger GLE Coupe and it appears that this car has been aimed at the BMW X4 much like how the GLE has been aimed at the X6.
Essentially, the coupe version of the next-generation GLK (which now be called the GLC) it is expected to launch in mid-2016 and will share much of its interior and underpinnings with the C-Class. There are no details available at present but the photos of the concept car reveal what appear to be 20-inch wheels, avant-garde grille and four vertically stacked tail pipes which just give the car that muscled appearence.
If we are to go by the design philosophy of the GLE Coupe, then this vehicle gives us an idea of what the C-Class coupe will look like when it is launched. It will be offered with all the engines from the C-Class including the top-spec 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which is expected to power the GLC63 AMG.
The GLK was only offered in LHD and never made it to markets like Japan, Australia and India. Now with this model Mercedes-Benz will be able to offer the car globally.
