Mercedes-Benz India has revealed the prices of its most popular model, the E-Class sedan. The new E-Class is being offered in LWB guise across three variants with prices starting from Rs. 78.5 lakh (ex-showroom). In this article, we will cover everything that you should know about the new E-Class LWB.
Variants and prices
The sixth-gen Mercedes E-Class is available in three variants, namely, e200, e220d, and e450 4MATIC. As for the prices, the e200 and e220d are priced at Rs. 78.5 lakh and Rs. 81.5 lakh, respectively. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line e450 4MATIC will cost Rs. 92.5 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

Delivery timeline
While deliveries of the e200 variant will begin this week, the e220d will start reaching customers around Diwali. On the other hand, deliveries of the e450 4MATIC are scheduled to commence in November.
Features
In terms of features, the new E-Class takes inspiration from the S-Class with its large superscreen setup with three individual screens. While the digital driver’s display (12.3-inch) is a free-standing unit, the main infotainment (14.4-inch) and the secondary screen (12.3-inch) for the co-driver are behind a single piece of glass.
Other features include 64 colours customisable ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, wireless charger, multiple Type-C charging ports, auto-dimming IRVM, dashboard-mounted cabin-facing camera, rear AC vents, Burmester-sourced 17-speaker music system, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree surround camera, powered front and rear seats, eight airbags, and an ADAS suite.
Exterior styling
The new E-Class is 13mm taller, 14mm longer, and features a 15mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor. In terms of design, the latest generation car stands out with a redesigned fascia having a large chrome grille with an oversized 3D logo, complemented by several smaller three-pointed stars, along with a gloss black panel framing the grille.
The side profile of the new E-Class features sleek, S-Class-inspired flush door handles and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also has new LED tail lamps with a unique tri-arrow pattern. Moreover, the top-spec e450 version gets AMG-line treatment with different patterned alloy wheels.
Powertrain and specifications
Mechanically, the new E-Class gets three powertrain options – a 2.0-litre turbo petrol, 2.0-litre diesel, and a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. All the motors get a nine-speed automatic gearbox with a 48V mild-hybrid system as standard.
