The Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG was showcased at a privately held event at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show but all the cameras were sealed off before anyone could enter the event area. This is the most powerful version of the entry-level front-wheel-drive sedan from Mercedes. Shielded from the public eye for now – the CLA45AMG will debut by the end of this year.
The CLA45 AMG will be powered by 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing peak power of 360bhp and peak torque of 450Nm. The engine transmits power through seven-speed dual-clutch transmission system to the all-wheel drive system with 40:60 distribution.
This machine also features the three-stage stability control system, Sport, Sport+ and RS Race Start modes to deliver great shifts. Mercedes-Benz will finally stop playing hide and seek game with CLA models at the New York International Auto Show, where this version will debut.
The CLA sedan is a very important model for Mercedes India and is expected to be launched by the end of this year. The company also offers majority of its AMG range here including the SLS AMG and G63 Wagon. We expect CLA45 AMG to make India debut soon after its global launch.
