The facelifted CLA and CLA Shooting Brake have been spotted for the first time. Mercedes-Benz will upgrade the cars in a year’s time and the entry-level sedan should make its India debut immediately after the global launch.
Both the cars get a mild update to the front and the rear. The front bumper is revised and the air intakes are positioned slightly lower on the facelift. The changes to the front also include slight tweaks to the headlamp console and the grille. The updates to the rear are restricted only to the tail lamps, even there, the overall design remains the same and just the internals have been revised.
The twins might get few additional features with the facelift, though the overall layout will remain the same. The engine line up will not be altered either and the Indian versions will continue to use the 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines developing 181bhp/300Nm and 134bhp/300Nm respectively.
The CLA sedan and estate facelift should make global debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The sedan will then be launched in India by the end of next year.
