The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG S will be launched for the Indian market on September 3. This will be the fourth AMG product to be launched in India this year and will take the German automaker’s total AMG tally in the country to 10 cars.
The C63 AMG S is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 510bhp and 700Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via the seven-speed dual clutch AMG speedshift gearbox. All this power propels it from 0-100kmph in four seconds and it then eventually hits an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. In terms of mechanicals, it gets a locking differential as well as dynamic engine mounts sourced from the AMG GT.
External design elements include an AMG-spec body kit, 19-inch AMG-spec wheels and optional ceramic brakes with sport tyres. The cabin gets the standard C-Class layout but now with AMG trim elements like an aluminium garnish, badges and sports seats.
This car is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 1.2 crore to Rs 1.5 crore and will be brought into the country via the CBU route.
