Mercedes-Benz launched the C63 S AMG for the Indian market today at an event in Delhi. By adding the C 63 AMG S to the '15' in 2015 model portfolio, the automaker has also brought in the fourth AMG-spec model for the Indian car enthusiasts.
The C63 AMG is a performance-oriented variant of the C-Class and is powered by a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 mill that churns out 510bhp of power. It is the same powerplant that is seen under the hood of the AMG GT S and this engine comes mated to a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission. The 0-100kmph figure is achieved in four seconds and the car can reach an electronically limited speed of 250kmph.
It is not just the mechanicals that the carmaker has worked on, but the C63 AMG gets an AMG-spec body kit that makes it look sportier than the C-Class sedan. This kit includes sporty bumpers, side skirts and a quad exhaust setup. The car gets huge 19-inch wheels, which have a double slat five-spoke pattern with the AMG badging in the centre, adding to the sporty quotient. The external design is further enhanced by large brakes and contrast-coloured callipers.
Do you think the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG S is impressive enough to take on its direct rival - the BMW M3? We will put it to the test some other day, but for now, check out these pictures of the sporty C63 AMG S sedan from the launch event.
