Mercedes-Benz has been constantly renewing their model range and the relatively young C-class is no exception. Introduced in early 2014, the current-gen C-Class will get a facelifted version that was recently spied near the brand’s Stuttgart headquarters.
The prototype, however, is an early indication of a facelifted C-Class that has been doing well globally. The changes to the car seen here are limited to a revised set of headlights, but the final product will also incorporate new rear lights and revised bumpers at both ends.
Mechanically, the C-Class will get the same set of petrol and diesel engines as now. That said, Mercedes could be onto developing a sub 2-litre diesel engine that would probably arrive with the C-Class facelift. And as for the interior, Mercedes is likely to update some of the equipment on board, such as the audio system and GPS.
Mercedes is expected to launch the C-class facelift sometime next year. Since it still looks and feels fairly new, the C-Class would continue to sell well in its current form despite stiff competition from the all-new Audi A4 that’s about to be launched here in India in the next couple of months.
