A cabriolet version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been spotted testing in Europe. It looks visually the same as the C-Class Coupe (which has been spotted alongside it) but gets a larger boot and roofline sloping to the rear.
The roof is an automatic folding soft top which has been retracted in some of the photos revealing the cabin design. All the elements from the standard C-Class appear to be there including the touchscreen COMAND system.
We can expect the cabin to be a bit different considering the convertible nature of the car. The cars in the pictures appear to have AMG wheels as well as quad exhausts indicating that they maybe the high performance AMG variants.
This convertible variant is expected to be available with both petrol and diesel engines and by the look of this car, in the AMG S engine option too. It will be brought to India maybe in late 2016 via the CKD route in the C300 and AMG spec trims but not before the hardtop C-Class coupe is launched.
