The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet has been spotted undergoing trial in Europe. Though Mercedes-Benz has been selling the convertible version of the E-Class coupe for some time now, the new C-Class Cabriolet will be the first C-Class model to come with a retractable soft top roof.
Aesthetically, the C-Class Cabriolet is expected to retain all of the sedan’s styling cues. Just like the E-Class Cabriolet, the C-Class Cabriolet will get a fabric roof instead of a complex and heavy metal roof. Interior bits are expected to be identical to the standard C-Class, though we expect it to be offered with premium trim levels to suit the convertible’s grandeur. Also expect the C-Class Cabriolet to feature Mercedes-Benz’s Airscarf neck blower system for the driver and the front seat passenger.
The C-Class Cabriolet is expected to carry over the engine options from its sedan counterpart, which includes a host of four-cylinder and V6 petrol and diesel engines. This test mule seemed to be in production-ready form, which means that we can safely expect it to be unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, this year.
