Mercedes-Benz is believed to be considering all-road variants for its E-Class and C-Class estate models. The all-road body style, brought to life by Audi, is basically an estate car with a body kit and light off-road capability thanks to some high ground clearance and AWD technology. The Indian equivalent of this design are kitted up hatchbacks like the Avventura and the Etios Cross.
The Stuttgart-based automaker has been building its SUV range strongly over the last few years and will soon even introduce a Nissan Navara-based pickup truck for the US market. It is no surprise then that a discussion about all-road models is taking place within the company.
However, the company admits that these models will be sold in very specific markets as the demand for them varies from country to country.
