A facelifted version of Mercedes-Benz’s A45 AMG has been spotted on test in Europe. The pictures reveal almost no changes to the external design of the car save for what appears to be a new grille and maybe some new wheel options. The major changes are expected to be in the cabin as well as under the hood.
In terms of the cabin design, we expect updates for the COMAND infotainment system, new trim options as well some new features. However, the overall layout of the cabin is expected to continue from the current vehicle.
We believe that the facelifted A45’s 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-pot mill in the facelift is expected to produce at least another 10bhp/10Nm over the current model’s 360bhp/450Nm of torque.
This is expected to give it a 0-100kmph of 4.5 seconds but with an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. To adjust to this increase in power, we also believe that the German automaker will also tweak the seven-speed DCT as well as the 4MATIC AWD system.
The A45 AMG and CLA estate are the only two MFA models that are not sold in the Indian market and are unlikely to be introduced here due to lack of demand.
