The much awaited Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 is finally launched in India at Rs 77.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The roadster now comes with a new engine and whole lot of style upgrades in comparison to the older SLK 55 AMG. The new AMG SLC 43 is powered by a smaller yet powerful 3.0-litre V6 biturbo petrol engine which generates about 361bhp of power and 500Nm of torque. The car sprints from 0 – 100 kmph in just about 4.7 seconds.
Exterior: The Mercedes-AMG 43 gets the AMG-specific front and rear bumper that connects it to the performance line from the German automaker. The front sports a diamond radiator grille in chrome with a louvre in iridium silver and dynamically shaped air intakes with fins in silver chrome. Additionally, the roadster also comes with LED headlamps with ILS and integrated DRLs and turn indicators. The rear section features new LED taillights, silver chrome on rear bumper, AMG sports exhaust system with two chrome-plated tailpipes and a sweptback boot lid with brake lamp in the rear spoiler lip.
Interior: The newly launched roadster comes with Nappa leather upholstery, designo seat belts in red, height and backrest adjustment with three memory settings and height-adjustable crash-responsive NECK-PRO head restraints. The AMG instrument cluster includes race timer that is displayed via the 11.4-cm multifunction display and AMG-specific lettering.
Features: The Mercedes-AMG Dynamic Select offers five selectable drive modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. The roadster also gets the AMG sports suspension system that makes it a sheer impressive performer. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto system. Moreover, the Garmin MAP Pilot makes navigation an easy task.
Safety: In terms of safety, the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 gets ABS, priming and brake drying function, hill start assist and hold function. It also gets six airbags in total along with other features like acceleration skid control, crash-responsive head restraints and pre-safe system with reversible belt tensioners. Whenever emergency braking is detected the brake assist system with brake servo assistance help with effective braking.
