The Mercedes SLS AMG replacer, the AMG GT, is expected to be available from October and will mark its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. As per a blog, the German manufacturer will release official pictures of the new sportscar mid-September with the official bookings commencing on October 6, 2014.
The Jaguar F-Type rival is rumoured to be built at the company’s Sindelfingen plant and is rumoured to get two versions with the power output hovering around 600bhp. The most powerful AMG GT can do 0-100kmph in less than 4 seconds. It will have an approximate 50:50 weight distribution and will be lighter and with a shorter wheelbase than the outgoing and larger SLS.
The upcoming AMG GT is rumoured to be inspired by an aircraft design and will be sold for 6 years till 2020. By that time, the German manufacturer is expected to re-launch the SLS AMG on an all-new carbon fibre platform.
