German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz will further expand its AMG lineup in India with the AMG GLC 43 Coupe launch tomorrow. The new model will be launched as part of AMG’s 50th anniversary celebration. The upcoming model is the 10th AMG model to be launched here and is the second one to arrive with a Coupe SUV body style.
Currently, the GLC SUV is available in two engine options - 220 d 4MATIC and 300 4MATIC. The upcoming AMG GLC 43 with a coupe-styled SUV body will be the most powerful one amongst the three. The vehicle will be powered by a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that will generate 362bhp of power and 520Nm of torque. The AMG spec 9G-Tronic transmission powers all four-wheels.
Primary focus being the performance aspect, the AMG GLC 43 Coupe will get sporty bumpers on the front as well as the rear along with the avant garde grille on the front. The vehicle will offer five driving modes - Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual. Inside, we expect to see premium upholstery with AMG logo stitched in the head rests, red seat belts, embossed door sill plates, chrome pedals and AMG fonts and lettering on the instrument cluster.
Although the pricing for the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe will be announced tomorrow, we believe it might be priced at around Rs 75 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
