After introducing the Star Wars edition CLA180 for the Japanese market on Star Wars Day (May 4), Mercedes-AMG is now offering their 50th anniversary edition of the G63 that will cost 22.2 million Japanese yen (Rs 1.25 crore).
This is to celebrate AMG’s existence for the last 50 years. The highlight is that this G63 will wear a spectacular exterior shade that’s aptly called Mauritius Blue. And to keep the tempo high, the carmaker has decided to give a contrasting glossy black finish to the bumpers, mirrors, roof, and the snazzy five-spoke star-shape AMG alloys.
On the inside, this special edition gets four two-tone colours that are available in porcelain white, mocha brown, saddle brown and black. And they all get the new premium leather trim with diamond stitching too. Additionally, an AMG carbon fibre trim package will also make it to the interiors for a sportier look. While power for this beast will continue to be sourced from the same 5.5-litre V8 motor that makes 563bhp and 761Nm of torque, Mercedes-AMG plans to build 50 of these unique machines for those buyers who have exclusivity topping their wish-list.
