Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 and GLA 45 launched at Rs 75.20 lakhs and Rs 77.85 lakhs

Further expanding its AMG product line-up in the country, German car manufacturer Mercedes-AMG has launched the CLA 45 and the GLA 45 in India at Rs 75.20 lakhs and Rs 77.85 lakhs respectively (All India, ex-showroom). You also have both the AMGs offered in special Aero Editions at a price of Rs 77.69 lakhs and Rs 80.67 lakhs respectively.

Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 and GLA 45 share the 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which is mated an AMG Speedshift DCT 7-Speed sports transmission. The AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system generates a powerful 375bhp and 475Nm of torque. The cars also get the AMG dynamic plus package with four modes. 

The CLA AMG looks sporty with its large alloy wheels and slammed look while the GLA AMG with its hunkered stance would give any pure-bred rally hatch a run for its money. Visually, the AMG CLA 45 and the GLA 45 get a glossy black paint job with yellow highlights and a black racing strip that runs along the hood, roof and boot of the cars. The cars get signature AMG styling and body kit with an aggressive front bumper which houses a wide central air dam and large air intakes on either side and rear diffuser with a quad-exhaust setup. To complete its sporty appeal, the cars get black grille and AMG badging on the slat. The visual highlights just do not end here, the 2017 models feature AMG graphics on both sides above the side skirts along with yellow highlight on the front bumper, ORVMs, tyre wall and the rear bumper as well. The Aero Editions get a Night Package to add to this list.

Both the cars get 19-inch alloy wheels, however, the AMG CLA 45 gets twin 9-spoke design and the AMG GLA 45 gets single 9-spoke wheels. Along with the common updates, the AMG GLA 45 additionally features a rear spoiler with yellow highlights. As for the interior, both the cars get an all-black layout along with red contrast lines and stitching along the dashboard, side panels and the leather seats. Black leather with red stitching can also be seen on the multi-function steering wheel. The cars also feature an eight-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink for smartphone connectivity on the dashboard.
