The Mercedes AMG range in India has now expanded with the arrival of the AMG C43. This sports sedan is the German automaker's 13th new launch for the year 2016 and takes the C-class portfolio in India to a total of three. The fascia is similar to the C-Class but enhanced with some modifications to give it a sporty look. The front bumper is reworked with large intakes and a low slung chin.
The side boasts of traditional C-Class lines, but the new pattern for the alloy wheels add a bit of flair to the car’s appearance.
Adding to the aggressive look at the back are the new bumpers, while the dual exhaust pipes on either end sum up the rear look.
Things seem familiar inside the cabin as you can spot a lot of similarities between this and the standard C-Class sedan. This one, however, adorns a sporty design to go with the performance characteristics.
The AMG C43 packs a 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 petrol engine mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. This mill produces 362bhp of power and 520Nm of torque.
This Mercedes-AMG C43 sedan comes equipped with Mercedes’s 4MATIC, four-wheel drive train as well. It does the 0-100kmph sprint just in 4.7 seconds and has an electronically top speed of 250kmph.
The sports sedan also gets five transmission modes - Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual. In the latter one the driver can tailor the characteristics of the car to his preferences.
