McLaren will unveil a limited edition of their entry-level sports car, the 570S Coupe, at the Concours d’Elegance held at the Pebble Beach, California. Two examples of this beautiful car, created by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO), will grace the lawns at one of the world’s most prestigious motoring events.
The McLaren 570S was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show earlier this year and is expected to compete with the likes of the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Ferrari California. The 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 rear-mid engine sports car weighs 1313kg to achieve a power to weight ratio of 428bhp per tonne. The 562bhp car will be showcased in two colours – mauvine Blue and ventura orange and will have bespoke interiors in carbon black leather and colour co-ordinated detailing carried through from the exterior.
The 570S will be accompanied by the 675LT of which only 500 will be ever built. An even more exclusive McLaren, the 650S Le Mans, inspired form the legendary McLaren F1 GTR chassis #01R with a fully functional snorkel air intake, front wing louvres and alloys inspired by the 1995 racer will feature in the McLaren line-up at the Concours. The 650S has been painted in the famous McLaren Orange, the one Bruce McLaren originally used on his race cars. Last on the display list would be the 1996 F1 GTR campaigned by team Bigazzi which had finished eighth at the 24 hours of Le Mans.
