McLaren recently announced that it will showcase its next creation at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. Called the 675LT, this new model revives the brand’s ‘Longtail’ name previously given to the iconic F1 GTR ‘Longtail’.
Being a McLaren, the 675LT is expected to come with bucket loads of tech. Among its many driving aids is what the brand calls an Active ‘Longtail’ Airbrake which will contribute to a 40 percent[FV1] increase in overall downforce.
The 675LT will be powered by a heavily revised 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 featuring lightweight components and new turbos. The end result is a total power output of 675PS (666bhp) and torque figure of 700Nm.
To be made available as a coupe only, the 675LT will join the core range of McLaren supercars alongside the existing 650S and the Asia-specific 625C. Further details including the performance figures, will be released with the 675LT’s global debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show next month.
