Globally popular sports car manufacturer, McLaren has been contemplating India debut for quite some time now. This time around media reports have indicated that the sports car manufacturer is considering inaugurating its first outlet in Delhi. It is believed that McLaren is in talks with Select Cars Delhi, which coincidentally is also the official dealer for other brands such as Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, Mini and Aston Martin. However, McLaren is yet to officially make an announcement for the same.
As stated to the media in the past, McLaren aims to sell 10 units annually. The first right hand drive version of McLaren 720S was recently imported into the country by Adar Poonawalla. Although, there have been other two left hand drive versions in the country, they will eventually be returned to their country of origin. Whereas, the right hand drive version of the 720S is here to stay and is one the 400 units to ever be manufactured.
The entry-level Sports Series lineup by McLaren for India includes the 540C, 570GT, 570S Coupe and the 570S Spider. The recently imported McLaren 720S is part of the Super Series lineup.
