British sports car marquee, McLaren, has unveiled a very special unit of the 600LT Coupe. One of the last units of the 600LT Coupe to leave the factory, it has been allotted to McLaren London, which is also celebrating the sale of their 1000th car. The dealership was also the very first one to be established by the Woking based brand.
In the case of the car, what makes this latest McLaren 600LT Coupe even more special is the fact that it features enhancements from the company’s customisation department, McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The model was commissioned by the dealer and will soon be available at the dealership in London.
MSO additions to this special 600LT Coupe include a bespoke roof scoop finished in Gloss Visual Carbon Fibre; carbon fibre roof and cantrails and the Clubsport Pro Pack. The latter comprises of carbon fibre racing seats, carbon fibre interior upgrades, front fender louvres, titanium wheel bolts, MSO specific harness bar and 6-point harnesses. Two carbon fibre exterior upgrade packs have also been fitted while unsprung weight has been reduced with 10-Spoke ultra-lightweight wheels finished in Gloss Black, contrasted with McLaren Orange brake calipers.
Inside, one of the final McLaren 600 LT Coupe features headrests embroidered with ‘600LT’ and throttle pedal carried with the same branding, engraved into the aluminium. The seat pads have been stitched in McLaren Orange and the same colour features on the 12-o’clock mark of the Carbon Black Alcantara steering wheel. A few other highlights of this car include air conditioning (a no-cost option on this track-focused car) parking sensors and a rear parking camera, vehicle lift and a Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker audio system. Also installed is the McLaren Track Telemetry (MTT) system with lap time function and three cameras.
Powering the McLaren 600LT Coupe is a 592bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This engine enables the car to sprint from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds, all the way up to a top speed of 324 kmph. With the 600LT Coupe now approaching the end of its production cycle, attention is now being exclusively devoted to the limited-run 600LT Spider, the order book for which is filling fast.
