McLaren has revealed that its latest creation, the 570S will lead the charge at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The coupe will be joined by the hard-core P1 GTR and the 650S Le Mans, both strictly limited in production and rarely seen in public.
Following its debut at the New York Auto Show earlier this year, the 570S will take on the famous Goodwood Hill course throughout the Festival weekend. Powered by a 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 engine producing 562bhp of power, the 570S joins the McLaren model line-up as the most powerful model in the recently launched Sports Series.
As for the 650S Le Mans, the model is codenamed ‘XP1’ and it is the experimental prototype of the special edition model built by McLaren Special Operations, in collaboration with McLaren F1 designer Peter Stevens, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the famous endurance race victory. As with the 50 production models which are now sold out, the XP1 is finished in bespoke Sarthe Grey colour, inspired by the shade of the race-winning McLaren F1 GTR, with contrasting orange highlights.
Lastly, the track-dedicated P1 GTR will be on display alongside the 650S Le Mans. Completing McLaren’s display will be the 650S GT3, which was unveiled at the Festival of Speed last year. The 650S GT3 has been fairly successful globally in its debut season, with podium finishes in five championships at circuits across North America and Europe.
