Mazda has just announced that they will unveil a new sports car concept at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, which opens its doors to the public from October 30, 2015. The Japanese automaker has even released a teaser image showing the sporty silhouette of this upcoming new model.
Mazda says that this model embodies the brand’s lineage, despite the modern appearance. While the teaser does a good job of concealing the details, design cues such as a long hood, curvy glasshouse and twin tailpipes are apparent.
Besides this all-new sports car concept, Mazda will be unveiling two race-spec MX-5s and a 1967 Cosmo Sport 110S – the company’s first rotary powered mass-production model. Speaking of which, it is possible for the brand’s famed Wankel engine to find its way into this new concept model. Stay tuned for more on the concept model and all the other important cars heading to the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.
