Japanese carmaker Mazda has made it official that it will reveal a new crossover concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Labelled Koeru, this new crossover is Mazda’s yet another stab at the increasingly popular and competitive crossover segment after the CX-5 and the CX-3.
The design sketch shows a low-slung profile with typically aggressive styling cues seen in recent Japanese cars. After all, the Koeru has been conceived using Mazda’s own KODO design language. The crossover will make use of the brand’s SkyActiv technologies seen recently in the new MX-5.
Mazda has revealed that it will also display its new-generation model line-up in Frankfurt. Highlights will include the new MX-5 complete with accessories as well as several SKYACTIV powertrains.
Coming back to the Koeru, Mazda will be looking to take on the BMW X3/X4 with the launch of this all- new crossover model in select global markets.
