Maserati Levante, the brand’s first luxury SUV was introduced with a diesel engine in UK last year. This time around, the automaker has introduced a petrol engine option in the country. This fresh addition widens options for customers who have been eagerly waiting for a petrol variant. The Levante gets the Q4 AWD system as standard on all versions.
Under the hood, the newly introduced petrol version of the Maserati Levante S is powered by the Ferrari-built 3.0-litre twin turbo V6 petrol engine that generates 424bhp of power. The vehicle sprints from 0-100kph in just about 5.2 seconds and is electronically restricted to top speed of 264 kmph. According tothe premium automaker, the Levante has the lowest centre of gravity in its class along with five varying ride heights and active air suspension system as standard. The diesel version gets a 3.0-litre V6 turbo engine that generates 271bhp of power.
Speaking about the vehicle, Peter Denton, Region Manager, Maserati North Europe said, “Following the launch of the diesel-powered Levante in the UK, it became clear that there is also a demand for the luxury SUV in a petrol-powered version. With the Levante now available in the UK with our V6, 430bhp petrol engine, we can offer the performance synonymous with Maserati along with the great off-road capabilities and sophistication we designed when creating the Levante.”
Maserati Levante S petrol will be available in the UK from September onwards and starts at £70,755.00 OTR (? 58.90 lakh). It can be further personalised with a wide range of optional equipment including a Zegna Mulberry Silk interior.
