- Almost half of these are for CNG versions
- To launch Swift CNG soon
Amidst the current slowdown in the automobile market, Maruti Suzuki continues to record a huge backlog of orders across the model range. As of September 2024, the carmaker is yet to deliver 1.65 lakh cars in the country.
Of the 1.65 lakh cars, up to 40 per cent account for CNG versions alone. Additionally, models such as the Brezza, Ertiga, and the Dzire continue to be the brand’s bestselling CNG cars. Notably, this update comes short on the heels of the company announcing its plans to introduce a CNG option in the new Swift range later this week.
Simultaneously, Maruti has extended the sale of its Dream Series range, which includes the S-Presso, Alto, and the Celerio. These special editions get not only a lower and exclusive price tag but also additional features over the standard offerings that they are based on.
