The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, a sub-four-metre compact SUV, is slated for an unveiling at the Auto Expo 2016 to be held next week. While we had only spyshots and rendered images for reference, the pictures that have surfaced on the internet now reveal almost everything about the SUV.
The Vitara Brezza looks proportional in the pictures. The looks are also SUV-ish with a high bonnet and slightly flared wheel arches. The sides get peripheral black/grey cladding and a skid plate in the front for the added macho factor. The twin barrel headlamps get projectors for the top-end car along with daytime running lamps and fog lamps embedded in the bumper.
As per the reports, there is ZDi badging as against the Greek letters for Nexa, which means the car may be sold through the regular dealerships and not Nexa. The Vitara Brezza will get the 1.3-litre DDiS200 diesel engine along with the 1.2-litre petrol from the Swift mated to a five-speed-gearbox.
The Vitara Brezza will be positioned above the Swift, probably somewhere around the Baleno and will take on the Mahindra TUV300 and the Ford EcoSport to start with.
