According to reports Maruti Suzuki will bring in two all-new models in the next fiscal. The first product is expected to get launched in the fourth quarter of 2018-19. And this will be the all-new Wagon-R about which you can read here.
The second model is most likely to be the Maruti badged Corolla Altis. Last year Maruti and Toyota announced a cross badging deal where Toyota will get the rights to sell a cross badged version of the Vitara Brezza and Baleno hatchback while Maruti Suzuki would get the same for the Toyota Corolla.
Apart from this, there will be a bunch of updates and special editions that will be launched as well. The updates will also include safety features like airbags, seat belt reminder and reverse parking sensors which need to be added by June 2019 to comply with the new safety norms.
The Wagon-R has always been a strong seller and the new model is sure to take the success even further. However, with the rebadged Corolla, Maruti will be treading into a difficult territory where it burnt its hands with the brilliant but unsuccessful Kizashi.
