Maruti Suzuki recently launched the XL6, which will be sold through the brand’s Nexa chain of dealerships and not the Arena outlets that retail the Ertiga. In comparison to the regular MPV, the new XL6 boasts of slightly premium interiors and a host of safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a speed warning system and seat-belt reminders for the driver and co-driver, all as standard equipment. Here are the top five interior highlights of the XL6.
1. Upmarket cabin
Maruti Suzuki has used different colour schemes and plush materials for a more premium feel. This vehicle will be available only in the top-spec Alpha and Zeta trims. As a result automatic climate control, rear air-con vents, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, cruise control and height adjust for the driver’s seat are standard features on the top-of-the-line variant.
2. Leather touch
The XL6's seats and the steering wheel are draped in leather upholstery, while the door trims get soft-touch materials.
3. All-black theme
Unlike the beige colour theme inside the cabin of the Ertiga, the XL6 gets a completely black one. Even the wooden trims are replaced with black-grey elements.
4. Six seater-configuration
What's more, the second row of the XL6 is equipped with two captain seats instead of the bench-type arrangement as seen in the Ertiga.
5. SmartPlay Studio
Maruti’s new SmartPlay Studio infotainment unit makes way into the XL6 like the Ciaz and latest cars. This comprises of a seven-inch touchscreen display and the system is now compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
