Ahead of its launch, scheduled for 21 August, Maruti Suzuki has released a teaser video of the XL6 premium MPV. The teaser video reveals the six-seat layout of the model where the second row features captain seats.
Based on the second generation Maruti Ertiga, the XL6 will be sold via the company’s Nexa chain of dealerships. The model will be available in two variants, four trims and six colour options; details of which are available here.
Feature wise, the new Maruti Suzuki XL6 will come equipped with LED headlamps, redesigned grille, multi-spoke alloy wheels, cruise control, black interiors and SmartPlay Studio with smartphone connectivity. Safety features on the model will include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill hold assist, reverse parking camera, high-speed warning alert, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and front seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters.
Powering the upcoming Maruti XL6 will be a 1.5-litre petrol engine with SHVS technology that produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. This engine will be available with a five-speed manual transmission and a four-speed automatic transmission.
