- Headlamps, DRLs and grille revealed in a new image
- Captain seats with black faux leather confirmed
- XL6 will be sold through Nexa and slotted above the Ertiga
Maruti Suzuki recently released the sketches of their upcoming XL6 car. Now, the carmaker is giving us a peek at some of the exterior and interior details through these new set of images.
We've seen some of the spy images earlier, but these new official images give us an in-depth detail of these new features of the XL6. The fascia of the car has been revealed showing the two horizontal slats in a new trapezoidal grille. Interestingly, the car gets all-LED headlamps and the DRLs' position is exactly in line with the grille slats. We already know the XL6 is based on the Ertiga, so dimensions and engine options are expected to be carried over.
However, the shots of the interior now give us a preview to the changes inside the cabin. The key change comes in the form of two captain seats in the second row making it a six-seater. Instead of the standard fabric seats from the Ertiga, the XL6 will get black coloured faux leather seats. Also, the trim on the dashboard is changed to match the all-black theme inside. Other features are expected to be carried over from the top-end versions of the Ertiga MPV.
Maruti Suzuki will position the XL6 a notch above the Ertiga and sell it as a premium six-seater. It will be retailed through Nexa outlets only. In fact, the carmaker has already started the product training for the sales executives, service technicians, etc. and is now gearing up for the media drive this month. We can expect the manufacturer to launch this XL6 just ahead of the festive season when the variant-wise prices should also be revealed. Stay tuned to CarWale.
