- It will be with both, manual as well as automatic transmissions.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki XL6 premium MPV was spotted at a dealership yard ahead of its launch in India on 21 August. The new set of spy photos completely reveal the exterior and interior design of the XL6.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 features an upright nose that is dominated by the quad-LED headlamps, a trapezoidal grille and a sculpted bonnet with faux skid plates. Similar to the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the XL6, too, will come equipped with LED fog lamps. There’s body cladding all around, and the profile is highlighted by the blacked-out wing mirrors and roof rails. Changes to the rear include LED light-guides for the taillights and a revised bumper with silver skid plates.
Inside, the Maruti XL6 will be furnished with all-black interiors. The dashboard and door pads are highlighted by premium stone accents and silver highlights. Unlike the bench-type seating arrangement in the Ertiga, the XL6 will get captain seats in the middle row. Additional equipment will include black leather upholstery, cruise control system, a seven-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, automatic headlamps and much more.
Powering the XL6 will be a 1.5-litre dual VVT petrol motor that will work in conjunction with the SHVS mild-hybrid system. It will produce 103.5bhp and 138Nm. The engine will come mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed AT.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be offered in two trims – Zeta and Alpha – and will be available with both the gearbox choices across the trim levels. The XL6 will retail via the NEXA dealerships and is expected to cost between Rs 9.50-10.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
