- XL6 receives new fascia
- Will be unveiled on 21 August
Recent spy pictures that surfaced on the web revealed the upcoming Maruti Suzuki XL6, which is essentially a cross variant of the standard Ertiga. The model will be sold via the Nexa chain of dealerships.
Now, another spy image has uncovered the fascia of the new Maruti Suzuki XL6. As seen in the image, the Ertiga based premium MPV gets a completely new fascia with a new bumper, rectangular fog lamp housings, faux brushed aluminium finished skid plate and a wide air intake. Sitting above the bumper is a new grille with two chrome slats and a chrome finished Suzuki logo. Also on offer are new headlamps with LED DRLs.
Maruti Suzuki has not equipped the XL6 with a sunroof although roof rails are visible in the spy picture. On either side, the model will receive body cladding and blacked out parts including the alloy wheels as well as C and D-pillars. The model features the signature Nexa Blue paintjob that is seen on other models such as the Baleno, Ciaz and Ignis.
Inside, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki XL6 will feature a six seat layout, courtesy of captain seats for the second row. Powering the model would be the same BS-VI emission compliant 1.5-litre, four cylinder petrol engine with SHVS technology. It is expected to retain the five speed manual transmission and four speed automatic transmission as seen in the Ertiga. The new Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be unveiled in India on 21 August.
