Crossovers have been successfully trending in the automotive market, however things have not exactly been in Maruti Suzuki S-Cross' favour. In an attempt to revive its lost share, India’s largest automaker will officially unveil the new 2017 S-Cross model. Recent spy shots indicate that the facelift model will get fresh cosmetic upgrades.
Mechanically, the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is expected to continue being offered with the existing 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engine options. However, given the trend in demand for petrol cars, it is to be seen if the company will offer a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine. The spied images are believed to be the India-bound model, while the Europe-spec car might get additional upgrades.
Going by the images, the front section features new headlamps which complement the freshly designed large grille. The bumpers have been redesigned and the bonnet gets a sloping design. The sides seems to be unchanged for now. As for the rear, the new model might get a tweaked taillight design and other design upgrades. As for the interior, we can expect to see minor upgrades in the form of an updated instrument cluster and multi-information display, new seat upholstery and interior colour combinations. Additional details about the car will be known post its official unveiling.
