Maruti Suzuki has adopted an innovative strategy for the launch of the WagonR Stingray via its official website which has now gone live. The website teases the car by revealing glimpses of the new features which were exposed in greater detail via images of a demo car that hit the inter web recently.
The official website prompts you to enter five comments stating your excitement about the launch, upon which five details will be revealed one after the other. The revealing includes the projector headlamps, the new front grille, alloy wheels, the cabin space and a teaser video of the official TV commercial.
The spy pictures already give us the details in styling that resembles the standard Maruti Suzuki WagonR in more ways than one, from the tall boy design styling to the mechanical underpinnings. This implies that the power will be derived by the 1.0-litre K10 series petrol engine that makes a humble 68PS power and 90Nm torque and will be based on the standard VXi varinat.
The car is expected to be priced close to Rs 5.0 lakh; Rs 50,000 more than the WagonR VXi variant and accounts for the added body kit, the projector headlamps and the alloy wheels. The price might play a crucial factor in deciding the success of the Stingray model and considering the declining market share for the company, Maruti is likely to make a smart move in that front.
