Maruti Suzuki is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of one of its longest-selling models, the Wagon R in India. This family hatchback was first introduced in the country in December 1999 and since then, the model has undergone several updates.
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is available at a starting ex-showroom cost of Rs. 5.54 lakh with petrol and CNG powertrain options. The reliable 1.2-litre NA petrol engine does the duty with a five-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
Over the years, the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R has been the one hatchback that has always been on the list of top-selling models in the country. A testament to its solid hold in the Indian market and among customers, the Wagon R nameplate has sold over 30 lakh units cumulatively since its initial release.
