The Vitara Brezza from Maruti Suzuki has been a hot favourite in the country since its debut earlier this year. Given the constant rise in demand and revised sales estimates, Maruti Suzuki will be ramping up the production of the Vitara Brezza to 10,000 units a month from July. This will mean that the company can expect to achieve a projected annual Vitara Brezza production of 1, 20,000 units.
A while ago, Maruti Suzuki had revised its production plan to 1, 00,000 units a year from 80,000 units. Since its launch earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki reportedly received over 75,000 bookings. Post the production revamp customers can expect to see lesser waiting period for the vehicle. The company has also been working on making internal adjustments to meet the growing demand for popular models including the Baleno.
Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.3-litre four-cylinder DDiS diesel engine which generates 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. The compact SUV comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission, the car reportedly returns a fuel efficiency figure of about 24.3kmpl. The compact SUV is available in LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ variants.
