- Vitara Brezza holds 44.1 per cent market share in the compact SUV segment in India
- Over four lakh customers in less than three years

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza leads the sales chart in the compact SUV segment with four lakh cumulative sales in less than three years. Supporting claims, the Vitara Brezza currently holds a market share of 44.1 per cent in the compact SUV segment. Moreover, the company has reported a year-to-date sales growth of seven per cent with a monthly average of 14,675 unit sales.
Maruti Suzuki had introduced an AGS (popularly known as the AMT) option for the Vitara Brezza in May 2018. Over time, the variant has emerged as a popular choice among customers with 20 per cent of total sales coming from the AGS option. The compact SUV is powered by a 1.3-litre diesel engine that generates 89bhp at 4,000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm. Under new safety norms in the country, the Vitara Brezza is now available with standard safety features in the form of dual airbags, ABS with EBD, high-speed warning alert, ISOFIX child restraint system, reverse parking sensors and front seat belt pre-tensioners and force limiters.
