Maruti Suzuki unveils Ignis and Baleno RS at the Auto Expo 2016

Maruti Suzuki unveiled its concept Ignis and concept Baleno RS on the second day of Delhi Auto Expo 2016. The production models of Ignis and Baleno RS will be launched in India in the festival season.

The carmaker also showcased its new-generation platform which is lighter, but also more rigid than conventional platforms. It enables the vehicle to balance safety, fuel efficiency and superior driving performance. Concept Ignis is a smart compact urban concept vehicle that’s built on this new-generation platform which makes it dynamic and appealing.

Maruti also unveiled the Baleno 1.0-litre Boosterjet direct injection turbo petrol engine and added that this new engine delivers more than what the weight and displacement suggest to deliver amazing power, torque and speed. Also on display is the S-Cross Limited Edition which now comes fully loaded with new features like chrome back door garnish, rear spoiler in black paint finish, sporty pedal pad, ORVM garnish in matt black finish, footwell lamp with blue ambient light and an interior styling kit. These features give the premium crossover an all new exclusive feel.
