India’s leading carmaker Maruti Suzuki has made it official that it will resume production at its Gurgaon facilities later today. The brand, as we know, had to suspend operations at its facilities on May 29 following an incident involving fire at the Manesar facility of its AC supplier Subros.
Fortunately, certain operations in the Manesar facility including casting and manufacture of transmissions will also resume today. Furthermore, Subros and Maruti Suzuki are jointly working on options to obtain supply of components from other facilities and gradually bring operations back to normal.
With the resumption of production, Maruti Suzuki will continue to manufacture their hot selling models like the Alto range and the Ertiga MPV.
