With the aim of widening its reach to a bigger audience, Maruti Suzuki is planning to open two new NEXA outlets in Mumbai. Maruti Suzuki has been aggressively advocating the NEXA showrooms as a new format of retail experience in an attempt to attract a wider customer base for its upcoming range of premium cars.
The two NEXA outlets in Mumbai are going to be set up in New Link Road, Andheri West and Phoenix Mills Compound, Lower Parel. The Delhi-based manufacturer aims to get 100 NEXA outlets operational in the next six to eight months, of which 30 outlets will be set up as a part of the initial stage. With this new initiative, Maruti Suzuki aims to provide a new experience of hospitality keeping in mind the changing mindset of customers. Maruti Suzuki seems to have realised that premium car buyers prefer to have a personal touch in their car buying experience and the company claims to have recruited over 1,000 new relationship managers to serve in these NEXA outlets.
Besides giving a personal touch, the NEXA outlets also offer a digital experience with their virtual tours of the cars sold there. The company will also launch a NEXA Owner’s App to help the customer for theirs car’s service history, emergency support, accessory purchase, event updates, booking and manage service requests and even a choice of favourite music. The upcoming S-Cross crossover will be the first car to be sold through NEXA outlets, though Maruti Suzuki’s aim of achieving two million in annual sales by 2020 hints at a more aggressive approach towards launching new premium cars.
