After the Celerio and the Ciaz, Maruti Suzuki has lined up yet another big launch for this year. The country’s leading automaker will launch the new Alto K10 on November 3. The car has even been shipped to dealers nationwide ahead of the official launch.
The new Alto K10 is based on the same platform as the Alto 800. Like the bigger Celerio, this new model will also get the Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) paired to a petrol engine. Also on offer will be a CNG variant with a claimed efficiency of 32.26 km per kg of gas with the petrol managing 24.07 kmpl.
The existing Alto K10 is powered by a 3-cylinder, 1-litre petrol engine producing 67bhp of power and 90Nm of torque. It is rated at 20.2kmpl and is priced between Rs 3.15 lakh for the Lxi to Rs 3.28 lakh for Vxi (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Alto K10, then, will be priced around the same region despite the long list of upgrades.
The Alto K10 has always been an impressive small car to drive and now with the added convenience of the AMT technology, it is bound to attract more buyers in the entry-level hatchback segment.
