Maruti Suzuki will hike the prices of all its vehicles with effect from January 2016. The hike will be up to Rs 20,000 and has been attributed to factors like rise in administrative costs and weakening of the Rupee against the Dollar.
Maruti Suzuki joins a host of automakers like Toyota, Hyundai, BMW and Mercedes-Benz in hiking their product prices ahead of the New Year. All of them have cited similar reasons for increasing prices across the range.
The Indo-Japanese automaker managed to sell 1.20 lakh units in November 2015 as compared to 1.10 lakh units in the corresponding period last year resulting in a growth of 9.7 per cent.
