The Maruti Suzuki SX4 S-Cross has been spotted testing with a revised grille, LED DRLs and HID headlights. The European spec car, which is what will be launched in India, comes fitted with the above mentioned lighting system but has a three piece slat grille as compared to this model’s two piece slat grille.
Though this car is sporting wheel covers, we believe that it is one of the higher spec variants and the former has been fitted for testing purposes. In terms of testing stages this appears to be a later stage model for the Indian market as the camouflage is much tighter revealing much of what will appear on the final version.
The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross was launched in mid-2013 for the European market and was then shown to the Indian public at the 2014 Auto Expo. It will be offered with a 1.6-litre petrol engine as well as a 1.6-litre diesel engine. The former will be mated to a five-speed manual/five-speed AT while the latter will get a six-speed manual. We are expected to have at least one variant with Suzuki’s ALLGRIP AWD system though this will only come to India at a later date.
The SX4 S-Cross is the Japanese automaker’s second vehicle in its quest to move its image into higher segment in the car market.
