Maruti Suzuki has launched the Swift SP limited edition starting at Rs 5.15 lakh in India. The new variant is based on the LDi and LXi (O) trims that get additional equipment and accessories.
Cosmetically, the SP edition is the similar to the standard hatchback and just gets a small SP badging at the back and sides. However, despite being the base variant, the SP edition comes with fog lamps, wheel covers, body coloured ORVMs, blackened out pillars and body side mouldings.
The cabin of the car comes equipped with a four-speaker audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The interior also features new seat covers, SP branded memory foam cushions, a steering wheel cover, reverse parking sensors, all four power windows, central locking with keyless entry and 60:40 rear split seats.
There is no change to the mechanicals and the car is available in both petrol and diesel options. The package costs about Rs 35,000 more than the price of the base variants that miss out on all this equipment. Dealers have started taking bookings for the car at Rs 10,000 and the deliveries might start just before the onset of the festive season.
